Our Mission:

To improve the financial lives of pilots through real estate.

About the Company

At Turbine Capital, we are driven to grow the world’s first and largest network of Airline Pilot investors in the world.

Turbine Capital is a private equity investment firm enabling pilots to create passive income and multi-generational wealth through passive commercial real estate investments. Investing with Turbine Capital as part of a unified alliance, rather than individually, gives us exceptional collective strength.

Using the syndication structure, we seek out and partner with the best real estate operators in the North America to bring our investors the most attractive, risk-adjusted real estate investments.

Mission, Vision, & Values

At Turbine Capital, our Mission and reason for being is to improve the financial lives of pilots through real estate.

Our Vision and north star is to continue to be the premier private equity firm for pilots. To serve as the essential next step for aviators seeking to supplement their traditional stock portfolios with institutional-quality real estate investments.

Our Values and moral compass is SETAC. SETAC is how we show up for our investors and each other, every single day. We only work with operators who align with the following values.

  • Stewardship: We do what is right. We put the interests of our investors first. We act unwaiveringly with respect, integrity and responsibility, and we earn our investor's trust every day.

  • Excellence: Plus or minus zero knots. Everything we do, we do on an elevated level. Excellence and quality permeate every facet of our organization. We hold our partners accountable to the same standard.

  • Transparency: We communicate with investors frequently and with complete honesty. We are accountable to each other and to our stakeholders. Feedback is always valued and carefully considered.

  • Adaptability: We make cognitive, intelligent, and non-reactive decisions to adapt to market conditions. We are agile and take advantage of emerging opportunities and trends. We embrace new technologies. We always look to improve and never do something simply because we've always done it.

  • Camaraderie: We have fun! We build meaningful connections with our investors. We are approachable and unpretentious while maintaining sharp acumen. We thrive on each other's strengths. We have a blast building, learning, and growing - both individually and as a team.

Meet the Leadership Team

Turbine Capital – Tait Duryea, CEO / Founder

Tait Duryea

CEO | FOUNDER

An experienced airline captain with over 15,000 flight hours, Tait Duryea is intimately familiar with the unique challenges that come with a career in professional aviation, both in personal life and in financial management.

Coming from a long lineage of aviation as a third-generation airline pilot, Tait was introduced to flying at the young age of 11. While aviation was his primary career choice, real estate always held a special allure. Fortunately, Tait has been able to find success in both. Since joining a major airline in 2010, Tait has gained over a decade of experience in a diverse range of real estate investing.

As a student of real estate, and of the tactics and strategies employed by the ultra-wealthy, Tait recognized the unique opportunity to share this knowledge with fellow pilots. He launched Turbine Capital in 2020 to provide pilots with access to high quality investment opportunities, and in 2023, the Passive Income Pilots podcast as a free financial education resource for pilots.
